I’m a bit of a personal development junkie so it would make sense that a good bit of my books fall in the self-help category. I don’t think I’ve gone a blogging challenge yet without some kind of post on the top of self improvement – that’s how much I love it!
In March’s #FiveInspiredBloggingChallenge I wrote about The Top Things that Have Helped Me on My Personal Development Journey. And today’s prompt ‘Five Books on Your Bookshelf’ gave me the opportunity to go down that road again a bit.
With the bit of a gypsy style life that I’m living right now, most of my books are packed up in boxes stored away in random places. But there is a handful that I keep on the shelf.
I’m also a bit known to start several books at once so some of the ones I share today will be “in progress”.
So please don’t mind the dog hair – we got furry dogs, I swear I dust almost daily.
I’m a pretty eclectic person and with that my therapies range a good bit too – painting and art, journaling, crystal therapy, essential oil therapy, and more. Therefore my collection of books range a bit too.
Five Personal Development Books on My Shelf
- The Fire Starter Sessions by Danielle LaPorte
- Failing Forward by John C. Maxwell
- Take the Leap by Sara Bliss
- Start Balancing by Kristy Dickerson
- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
Plus three more:
White Hot Truth by Danielle LaPorte – one of my all time favorite books.
Buddhist Bootcamp by Timber Hawkeye – this one is housed with my planner. I start each day with a daily read from this.
You’re a Badass by Jen Sincero – another one of my favorites.
